COURSE INTRODUCTION
The Safety Management Systems (SMS) Advanced Training Course is uniquely designed for aviation personnel who have already completed training in the fundamentals and implementation of SMS and are directly involved in managing and/or administering of an organization’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) Program. The course will very briefly review the latest evolution of traditional Safety Management Systems (SMS) concepts and then quickly move into why implementation strategies either are, or alternatively are not, totally successful. This self-critical analysis will make use of “real-life” case studies and classroom exercises with invitations being extended for the attendees to use their own de-identified Safety Management Systems (SMS) related issues and challenges.
