POST HOLDER / CERTIFICATE POSITION HOLDER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
COURSE INTRODUCTION
State civil aviation authorities require that as a predicate to issuing an air operator certificate (AOC), the organization has a comprehensive organizational structure supported by properly qualified and experienced position holders. Such positions include, but not limited to, a Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Director of Maintenance, Director of Quality Assurance/Chief Inspector, and Director of Safety.
While potential position holder candidates may possess the required background and experience, they may not fully understand their roles and responsibilities with respect to both regulatory requirements as well as ensuring the required level of operational safety and continuing airworthiness. Further, their organizational and management skills may not yet be fully developed leading to an excessive period of “ramping-up” to meet the expectations of their senior management and regulatory authorities.
This innovative and unique training course is taught by experienced industry experts who have previously held post holder and required AOC positions within both domestic and international air carrier organizations. Career experiences are shared with the attendees in order to instill a full understanding of their AOC roles and responsibilities and more importantly, how to “hit the ground running” in their new positions.
