OPERATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT
INTRODUCTION
The Operational Risk Assessment consists of, but goes substantially above, an objective evaluation of the organization’s ability to identify and correctly assess operational risk, implement meaningful corrective actions and/or risk mitigation strategies, as well as, monitor their resultant effectiveness in order to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, operational safety, and continual airworthiness.
Onsite reviews of operational and technical manuals, personal interviews with department heads, analysis of internal audits and investigations, and front-line observations provide a unique insight into an organization’s corporate culture and how operational risk is being managed.
