COURSE INTRODUCTION
This course equips Airline Maintenance Managers with the knowledge necessary to plan, develop, train, implement, and evaluate Safety Management Systems (SMS) within the technical operations discipline. Participants will also be exposed to the roles that the regulator as well as organizational and human factors play when incorporating a Safety Management System.

- An Historical Overview of SMS as it Applies to the Management and Integration of Operations and Technical Systems with Financial and Human Resource Management in Order to Achieve Safe Operations and Meet Regulatory Requirements.
- The 4 Ps (Philosophy, Policy, Procedures and Practices) of Safety Management will be Developed and Discussed in Class
- A Review on How an Effective SMS will Lead to a Positive Maintenance and Organizational Safety Culture.
- An Introduction to Basis of Implementing a Safety Management System in an Aircraft Maintenance Environment and the Requirements of Auditing and Maintaining the Effectiveness of SMS
- Conduct a Hazard Analysis, Set Planning Priorities, and Produce an Emergency Plan
- GHS Will Customize Course Content to Meet Your Specific Business Needs
