Last week’s 2020 Aviation Symposium hosted by Fox Rothschild’s own mega personality Mark Dombroff is now “in the books” leaving a wake of positive feedback from attendees and presenters alike.
This year, NTSB Chairman Robert Sumwalt provided an engaging Keynote Address challenging attendees to become more closely engaged in the NTSB investigation process by being well-prepared to meet their respective statutory safety obligations to the traveling public.
His subsequent engagement with Mark in an impromptu “word-association” was both non-scripted in scope and unprecedented in candor to the delight of us all.
Subsequent panels at the 2020 Aviation Symposium composed of a wide spectrum of subject matter experts tackled such topics as lessons learned from the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines B737MAX accidents, handling of disruptive passengers, the Safety Act, emergency response planning and the leadership role of executive level management, airline employment issues, latest developments in commercial space travel, and what to expect from the FAA and NTSB in 2020 and beyond.
It was indeed a pleasure for myself and my GHS colleague Captain Chinar Shah to be presenters in this great event and we look forward to Mark raising the bar even higher next year!
